SWEEPR is no more...
A new chapter begins: Jaylen Hart.
Hey - it's been a minute. I'm really excited to share what's been in the works, but first, I wanted to thank you for your support over the last couple of years. Whether you listened to my tracks from the Night Shift EP, came to one of my shows, indulged me in talking about a track I was working on, or whatever it was, your support means the world.
OK. Let's get into it:
Circuit Grounds, EDC ‘22
EDC Las Vegas 2022.
I remember the sound of a street sweeper that inspired the name "SWEEPR" on the last day of EDC—just two years ago.
That moment marked a new chapter in my life and musical journey. I was so early in understanding myself in music and the sound I wanted to create, and I'm grateful to share that journey with you. That weekend was also the year I married my best friend (happy second anniversary! 😘!) It feels like yesterday.
Since my last show for my label, Kick Drum Therapy, I've spent more time in the studio than before, working on what matters most to me: the music.
I studied with Toolroom Records (Mark Knight’s label). I discovered things about myself and how I approach production. I found (some of) my blind spots. I created a workflow that keeps me focused. I'm making tracks I really, really love, inspired by artists who really move me. I took a break from social media. I took a break from the artist project SWEEPR. And I discovered a sound I want to dedicate my time to, and get better at producing. I believe that's a never-ending pursuit.
Towards the end of last year, I felt that if I continued to put more time and energy into SWEEPR, I would avoid putting myself out there with my music or honing in on the craft of making the music I love the most.
Today, I'm in another place. I know where I'm going and, most importantly, where I want to be.
And it's as Jaylen Hart—a nod to my real name.
I truly believe this is the right decision, and I hope I can still count on your love and support, for which I'm very grateful.
So what’s next?
More music, more shows, more learning!
Purple Tea Records has signed my track, ‘One More Time,’ which is expected to be released in July.
I just finished an EP for a well-known Denver-based label. I can’t wait to share these tunes with you.
I’m wrapping up another EP that I plan to release with another local Denver-based label this year.
Lining up local shows and more live recordings.
And a lot more time in the studio 🎧
Last thing(s)
I wanted to preserve the origins of my journey, so I’ve moved the Night Shift EP to my new artist profile on Spotify and Apple Music.
Also, if you haven’t heard it, I released a track titled ‘All Night Long’ in March! I was working on this song in parallel with the Toolroom course. I thought the vocal was catchy, and I hope you enjoy it!
My social accounts will switch to the new name in the coming days/weeks! And if you made it this far, thanks for being here and reading through this. You a real one.
You change the world by being yourself.
